for what its worth.... my brake expert told me when he repaired my master cylinder to stick it in the vice prime it up , bung it back in and then jiggle the brake pedal for a bit until the bubbles stop...

Being a Butter box you can jiggle from above and sure enough lots of tiny bubbles... when they cleared I did some serious pumping, still needs a bleed somehwere as the pedal travels a but far but pumps up...

go have a bit of a jiggle.. it might be too late... but jiggles dont cost much, you can do 'em with ya mates and it might reduce the amount of bleeding and topping up you will have to do....
