Those wiring looms were an absolute nightmare back in the 70's. KW fitted American looms to all the trucks built at Bayswater back then.
There was a lot of splicing and tapping and cutting done to get the looms functional. About a third of the cables in the loom were not used.
I remember 2 guys in the cab trim section that were absolute geniuses with the American looms, but if they had a sickie or took a day off, you could guarantee that there would be problems with the electrics that were done by someone else.
You would probably be better off re-wiring the whole truck from scratch.

...g'day Cunning .. i'm pretty sure your on the right track regarding using the paint that is on her for a base....
...to me, if the paddle handles, grille and surround and headlight buckets have come out for that last paint job, she's been through a fairly extensive cosmetic refurbish and more than likely there's no need to expend extra dollars on that part of the resto...
...i also reckon grumpy is on the right track suggesting a full rewiring job....it's not a big deal to the blokes who know their business.....cheers and all the best mate

Spoke with Bruce and he needs to pay for his photobucket account again.
Something to watch out for if you are loading lots and lots of pictures eventually they hit your for some $ if you go over your free amount, I am at 77% at the moment and I would have at least a couple of thousand pictures on it.
