Its been awhile, but life has been hectic here, new house, new job and so on.
Some of you may remember me as the driver of Hank the Truck, well anyway Ive bought a new truck so I can retire Hank and restore him.
The plan was to rebuild him as a 1950s era Golden Fleece tray top truck, but recently that has changed with the buying of the new truck, and purchasing the trailer below.
I now intend over the next few years to create something like this
When I restore Hank, he will loose the tray and have the rear chassis trimmed down and a turn table fitted, and then mated up with the trailer.
The Minister of Finance has approved the project, but I need to finish my XE ESP restore first...
On another note, Hank has suffered a front passenger wheel seized bearing, can anyone tell me if this is an easy fix, as I need to move him into the shed. Cheers

I would advise you find a service/workshop manual for one of these or the similar Commer model as it will give much better instructions and provide lots of other help (if you don't have one already)

He bought a New Truck to drive and the trailer below to restore ... said trailer having nothing whatsoever to do with the new truck as I read itGood project Hank, and not the sort of combination many have. You say new truck and trailer, then talk about putting a turntable on Hank to pull the trailer. Can you clarify?
Cheers
However, I also seek clarification as to whether 'tis a new new truck, or a brand new secondhand truck .

Be it firearms or V8 engines, the question is not "why should you have them?"
, but "who are you to demand that I justify them?"

You are correct Eddy, I have bought a new 2012 Hino 616 short wheel base tray truck, to take over from Hank. Why a truck you may ask? Well after using Hank and seeing how versatile he was and the stuff he could carry, a ute just simply didnt come up to the task, and believe it or not, the truck was actually cheaper than some of the utes out there.
I have also purchased the said tanker trailer, this will be restored along with Hank to give me the combination above.
