Hey Baz,

If you ever are on the lookout for a coupla LoadStar front mudguards, I know where you can get them! My neighbour has them just laying around in her back paddock.... they even have the indicator lamps still on them! They were fitted to their F1800 with the 6V53 Detroit which they used primarily as a water cart - her late hubby and her other son used to cart water as sub--contractors for the RTA! Will look at them next time I'm up there and I will get back to you. Otherwise they're just gonna go to the scrap metal guys!

Those Fleetstars sound inter esting Baz, were they LH drive as well ? I have spoke to the ex IH Chief Engineer at length and he regrets not bringing in the Fleetstar, says it would have beaten the 1418 Benz by a mile. It came with various engines up to 6V71 Detroit, NTC 290 Cummins and Cat 3406.
The Butterbox cab started life in 1953, basically a copy of the Blitz, and there were no tilt cabs around then. Even the "new" ACCO cab was designed around 1969.
