Louisville for sale was created by prodrive
Hi guys,
Old mate locally has just bought a new (well newer, anyway) truck to replace old faithfull.
He's asked me to advertise his LN7000 Louisville for him.
It's a 1972 model I think, single drive, fitted with a 6/53 GM, roadranger, etc. Runs and drives pretty well, and the engine seems sound. PTO hydraulics are fitted. It ias a bit of rust around the gutters, as you would imagine, and these is nothing flash about it. It really is just a typical cockies truck, as you can visualise.
He's wanting $4500 for it, which I think sounds about right?
I'll post some pics in the next few days if anyone is interested?
Cheers
Richard

Hi John,
No, definitely a 7000 (or 8000?)
I know that 9000's came out with a factory 6/92, they would be a good truck to have now! But this is not one of them. It was definitely fitted with a Cat V8 from new, that blew up, as they do, and they fitted the GM, many moons ago.
Personally I reckon it may have been originally one of Hovey's transport, then Beckley's, as you can see red and green under the white paint here and there. No power steering fitted, which makes me think LN7000, same as one I had years ago, bloody shocking truck it was too, with a 175 HP cat, 5 sp box and two speed diff. (not sure if this is a 5 speed or RR)
Old mate that owns it reckon's this has been a good truck, and it looks pretty dry around the engine too, which is odd for a GM eh!
When I get a chance I'll post the pics, hopefully that helps..
Cheers!

That would be a nice little rally truck for some one that would make a little noise if you wanted to be noticed Just had the rust cut out of around the gutter on 3 sides and a small spot on the back and paint the roof, back and doors as well some line and scribble work tidied up of my LN8000 at a price of $3650

I did th occasional local trip in a LNT V8 Petrol motor , when I worked for George Bell at Penrith so there Is a smaller LN than an 8000 , seen one around Grafton with a Perkins & RR in it , had a beaver tail . These were flat top body trucks.

I'd say it was an LN800 or 8000 .... Depends if it was petrol or diesel originally.

Perfect club truck. Well priced, too. Wish I had the money.
