I'd be interested to see what's left, some of my cross members are a bit ordinary.

Any time ...its one of the few things too heavy for the scrap metal thieves ..........i doubt there would be a single usable part in the chassis ..........the ultra complicated brakes are probably still there .

One crazy truck for sure ........mines got the same axles as the 8 wheeler ......wheel bearings are plain roller ,not tapered ,and megga expensive .....I think Ransome and Marles in England still make them to special order...........the brakes are hydraulic with rack and pinion S cams ....if you can figure that out.......they also had a strange Armstrong system with a pump on the motor that pressurized brake fluid ,and strange two cylinder master cylinder setup.......the epicycle gearbox was good ,but Dale Barnard got it to fit to his Foden two stroke motor..........front axle was new old stock ,but accidntally got scrapped when the council was harassing me.

He drove the brown one up to Brisbane one time ......its got the Foden two speed hubs ,where you change hub gear by turning a selector on each hub ,somewhat like the old Warn freewheel hubs

I can recall Gillots (H/H) running Peterbilts north out of Sydney, had a lockout on the Spicer twin stickers limiting them to 80 km/hr.......spose you wouldnt have to worry about that with Friendly Fodens????

The Foden hubs are engaged with a tommy bar ,you turn the selector 1/2 turn .........the internal gears are 2 to 1 ,so if the truck does 40 mph on high,it does 20 mph on low............the brown one also has the giant tropical radiator and engine oil cooler through a auxilliary pump driven by the injector pump.
