Some time ago someone put up a pic of NR Mack think it was at Coleambally in a yard for sale with some other trucks as well and the phone number was in the pic

Anyone else have any idea were on the forum that was, have searched quite a bit but buggered if I can find the pic and thinking some one much smarter may have a clue cause Im a bit clueless

Other thought is maybe got lost in the photo bucket dramas of more recent times

Any leads much appreciated

So still on the look out for a NR Mack must have duels and a reasonable chassis not much more just front axle, ass end and reasonable rails

Whats out there everybody ?????

Am out and about in a week or so with some time up my sleeve so show me what you have

I saw a crane carrier on a NR chassis scrapped last year....it had proper/not cut down/20" spiders............thats the most likely source of a cheap NR,as most wouldnt recognize the bits....

The NR back end is similar ,but not the same as the later B model.......the springs are more complicated, and the centres are different...........however B centres can be fitted to NR housings with a bit of machine work, and parts swapping.......it was actually more common to go the other way ,and graft a whole NR back end onto a cut B61 single drive. There were plenty of them about for the unwary....The NR was a good truck ,except the motor, and lots of owners fitted 600 Leyland Matilda motors..............a 6/71 was a very expensive motor back then, due to high demand from boat builders.......Bit different now, boats are nothing and 6/71 s just scrap.
