Wanted

A reasonably compact overdrive auxiliary box. Watson/Browne-Lipe/ Spicer or similar. Only 100hp capacity required but anything that will fit would be OK.

Any suggestions to gear up a 1946 KBS5 International.

Photo of the sort of thing I think would work - the Spicer on the left.

Lang, The most compact small Joey box I have seen is the one from the 6 cylinder Morris about a 4 tonner, a mate of mine has one in his Morris and it appears to be quite strong, can be fitted either way, to speed up or slow down the drive shaft. Mind you, the Morris does have enough power to spin it also !
Cheers, Murray

Thanks for that. It sounds ideal but I suspect you find them in the same place as unicorns and wooly mammoths.

I would love a lead to find one but I will start looking.

Hi Lang,

I noticed a joey box listed on gumtree website the other day.
Listed as "Gear Box", but i just found it's quicker to find the advert if you search for "joey box".
Advert says "ACCO 1800 series joey box 3 speed $500". Loxton/Waikerie area SA.

I think they were UD/D/OD boxes?

Sorry i don't know how to link you direct to it.

Brett.
