located in Echuca - $33,000 phone 0409 520 116
A once in every 2 decades opportunity. This October 1965 XP Ute has been owned and driven by me since April 1999. Powered by a 170 Ci (2.78 litre) 6-cylinder engine with a 3 speed column shift manual. It was a daily driver until 2014 when it went on club plates. It is still running it’s original 1965 paint that has polished through in a few places but has no rust. It comes with 20 years of collecting parts (including a pair of hard to find XP Ute taillight lenses, tailgate, mirrors, grill, bonnet, gearbox… – more than will fit into the back of the ute). Owners and workshop manuals are included It has 72245 miles on the speedo but is still being driven. The tyres, recored radiator water-pump and timing chain and brake-cylinders are all about 2000 miles old being fitted in September 2018. All work was done with keeping the ute for another 20 years in mind but health issues mean it isn’t being driven as much as I like to. The only fluid it uses is fuel. The gearbox, diff and suspension have all been rebuilt. This is not a project car – it is a turn-key and drive proposition which you may want to add your own touches to. $33,000 the lot not interested in separating at this stage.

The ute is still for sale but I have deleted the Facebook Marketplace post for it. There are too many abusive keyboard warriors with nothing to do either wanting me to strip the interior to send them pictures of the floorpans (which were replaced about 15 years ago) or wanting to buy it for $500 if I deliver it to Adelaide. one even claimed it nearly split in 2 being dragged onto a trailer at the Rich River Rod Run. Strange thing is I drove it there and home and it has never been on a trailer while I have owned it. (it has been on a tilt tray twice, once while sorting an electrical issue in 1999 and the other when the diff failed and locked up the rear end).

I think if people want something but can't afford it then abusing the seller seems to be the go to point.

Bparo,
The reason I will not go onto facecrap is that all the idiots in the world can post anything they want and truth does not come into it.
I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

I'm with you there Morris. The closest to FaceAche I go to is Instagram where it has been quite pleasant and nothing like the Parent site.

I don't think it's overpriced.

Whilst not a Ford and it doesn't interest me but the car has done less than 1250 miles per year since new!

I like the Navigation System on top of the dash. The sort Swishy can use.

Good luck with eh sale.

It's a Ford Falcon so I am not sure where EH came from ??

Internationally these qualify as a rare vehicle, as do a lot of Australian vehicles, particularly the less common variations.

As the speedo resets to zero every 100,000 miles I suspect it may have gone around at least once but can't prove anything . It had approximately 34,000 miles on it when I purchased it im 1999 and if I had never purchasing AR international it may have had more miles on it

after the "essential trip" to see the specialist in Melbourne on Monday it has now convinced me that selling the XP is the right choice. the diagnosis is things will likely stay the same or deteriorate slightly.

It won't kill me (better luck next time) but will slowly, hopefully very slowly, restrict the things I can do. It looks liked a mixture of things all playing off each other and now I have to wait for some tests so they can confirm what is going on and work out what to do. Unfortunately these tests are considered 'elective surgery' as they require admission to the hospital even though there's not a scalpel or drugs in sight - it's purely mapping
