Hello and thank you for allowing me to come on board.
I have inherited a 49 Bedford K series. I have a cab chassis and not much else. Would really appreciate hearing from you if you know of any parts. Located at Emerald Victoria, I'm prepared to source parts from where ever I can.

49B welcome aboard, there will be plenty of ideas and advice on here, for you, some of it might even be useful, I assume you are considering making a working hobby truck from the bits you have inherited and those you will need to collect. Some photos of what you actually have might make any suggestions more relevant. There are a couple of Bedford restoration threads in amongst the current posts that might enlighten you.

I have been the happy inheriter of a 1950 O series, complete straight going one family member owner. I used it on the farm for a good few years but 38 mph while shouting it's head off didn't enthused me, and I moved to a highway friendly truck a few years newer.

Good luck with your project.

The K model has a faster diff than either the O or M models so is able to sit in traffic more comfortably.

G'day Mammoth.
My onroad experience is sadly a way of yet. My truck is a dual wheel configuration. Not sure if that means the ratio is lower and possibly slower road speed?

If it has duels on the rear it is not a K model which had unusual single wheels back and front. So it is either the nominal 2/3 ton M model or the nominal 5 ton O Model. To carry the extra weight the O model had the cab pushed forward with a consequent shorter bonnet and the engine protruding into the cab space.

Always glad to see another Bedford owner on board, welcome 49Bed.
As mentioned, we like photos so this will help identify what truck model you have & if you can post a list of the parts your looking for we may be able to help.
I have a K model & a few spares, so you never know your luck here.
In Which State do you reside?
All the best
