Sold - Spicer 5831 3 Speed Auxilary Gearbox And Components For Sale

These items have been Sold.
Spicer 5831 Auxilary Gearbox $3600
This is a remanufactured unit with all new internals.It is as new having been driven a few local kilometres unladen. The asked price is what was paid for
the box,shafts and other components. I would prefer to sell it all together for reasons obvious but the shafts may not suit someones purpose or need modification.
The gearbox was fitted to my 1976 International ACCO 510A 345 V8 Horse Truck . It was trialed a few times and deemed unsuitable.
The truck was underpowered,too heavy or the 4.3 diff too high.
Gearbox Data
Direct 1.00:1
Overdrive 0.73:1
Underdrive 2.00:1
Length: flange to flange 552mm with brake drum 596mm.
Overall height:400mm
Mounting brackets fit between 850mm chassis rail and can easily be modified to suit a different chassis width.
Note: I had to move the cross member back 280mm.
Propellor Shafts $1600
Front Shaft Length: Flange to Flange 435mm
Forward Universal Series :1350. Rear Universal Series :1410
Rear Shaft Length:Flange to Centreline of Universal 1150mm
Forward Universal Series:1410 Rear Universal Series :1350
Shifter Linkages $200
Shifter linkages were fabricated to suit my ACCO 510A but would likely fit similar models.
The linkage is only connected to the Overdrive Selector.
It is strong reliable and works well but not OEM quality.
Gearbox Lifter $150(less than cost of materials)
Made from 45 x 45 x 3mm black angle.
Lowered Height 270mm. Raised Height 600mm
L700mm x W470mm
Fitted with Light Commercial Truck Scissor Jack rated 1500kg
This was made for one job with cheap bolt .Needs welding for Safety and Stability
