I recall at one auction there was something like 100 AEC MkIIIs,and two Daimlers, both with Gardner 6LWs......the AECs went for $400 each, when the Daimlers came up they got bid over $1100.......I had nobbled one of the Gardners by locking back a couple of the fuel levers,it ran like a hairy goat, ended up going for more than the others.........Daimlers with the Daimler diesel didnt go for much,as even in 1970 ,there were no spares for the motors.
