Both are readily available John.K.
I bought a Cox ride on mower with what the mower shop claimed was a stuffed motor. As I did not want the engine because I fitted a hit n miss engine onto the mower, dropped the deck off and put a cross shaft underneath to run a belt of a flywheel to then drive the belt back to the friction drive and drive it around.
Had a very wet day and could not work so I looked at the engine to see what was wrong. Valve clearance was the biggest issue along with a fuel blockage. Engine started and ran like a clock. Donated it to a Club member who had a blown engine and he donated a better friction drive than I had. Win Win.
