I guess that you are after the 6V Bedford, but on page 63 of the latest Vintage Trucks and Commercial magazine there is an ad for an upcoming auction in Dalby Qld on 21st August.
In that ad there is listed a "Bedford K model (8/71 Detroit engine).

Just mentioning.
Steve.

Bundaberg Auctions will get you there. Photo doesn't show it to have the bumpers of the KM models which came out. Neville is a clever man and has probably grafted the GM into a regular TK model.

Hi I have a KM Bedford in Port Lincoln. She is a tandem tipper which needs a bit of TLC however the motor has not done much work since completely rebuilt although many years ago,but has been a farm truck for the last 38 years that we have owned her.

Now would be a good time to tidy it up and get it to run again so as not to waste the effort of the rebuild.

When I cleared up at the sandblasters ,i dumped a spare 6v53 in the scrap, sold a compressor with a 6v53 for scrap price...and took home a 6v71.....Started to realize it was a bad move about 1 week later ......the compressor with the 6v53 was so noisy ,it couldnt be used on an outside job, then it got banned at the other yard ,it was so noisy the the factory across the road complained .......the thing was supposedly silenced too.
