Anyone bother to ask what engine?
Isn't a R700 next series up from the R600's
18 speed almost make it B-Double or road train spec??

In a short and simple answer, no a R 700 isnt for a roadt train spec or b double
First Mack b doubles in Australia were R600s

Plenty of road trains were R 600

They were longer, gave a smoother ride (debatable) could fit a bigger variety of motors in them

Oh and the 18 speed box isnt needed in a Mack for road train work

Ah! Like in those R700's that Moss Wettenhall was running up and down the East coast with had the 400 Crummins in them??

Yep, that style of things, the E6 Mack is a fairly compact motor so not a lot of other motors will fit in the same size hole
