1948ish Bedford M type chassis

Thanks bel, but not the bit I need.

Having survived for another day, albeit with one of her friends who said she had seen me with my truck out the front! Even if it wasn't the truck she might assume it to be. No doubt wife will figure it all out when she does discover it, maybe?

Meanwhile after talking with bel I removed the headlight rim that I do have to show you guys what I'm looking for.
