Around 88' they all disappeared to be replaced with a mix of dual cab Ford Traders on patching and Ford Cargo tippers.

I remember working part time for Ku Ring Gai Council on hotmix patching crews in 86'. They had a fleet of newish Leylands with the crew cab box fitted along with several Leyland Parks dept tippersActually Leyland were still selling trucks here in 1982 .....how do I know this ?..............anyhoo,.typical POS in a country dealer yard ....five broken old trucks with astronomical prices .

Im not exactly sure when Leyland trucks stopped selling in Oz ......I do recall there was an attempt at selling an updated UK model with all sorts of weird EU features ,like MAN s and Benzes ,such as $350 universals ,and crazy complicated failsafe braking systems ..........the two trucks were eventually sold at auction ..........I do have two 1982 Leyland s resting /rusting in my back yard ...........6x4 Harrier with a 640 Perk ,I bought in 1992 ,when it was ten years old.........The 640 wasnt a good motor ,and mine has no oil pressure, which is typical.
