That's probably really good buying, it doesn't take long to burn through a big amount of coin fixing up these old trucks

When viewed from the cost of restoration yes, but where is the market, those that had connections to that era of truck are at best in a nursing home or gone, so a sale is probably limited to large collectors, young blokes like me that are knocking on the door of 70 years of age would have no memory of seeing those trucks on the road at scale, I have never seen one in commercial work. It is like a Cobb and Co Coach in a museum, interesting but no connection. The exception to that rule is probably old motor bikes as you can have one in your living room thirty floors up and it's of interest and also a decoration.

Isn't that enough, people by something, just because they like it
Does everything have to be about what market there is to sell it later on
If we took that attitude we wouldn't eat or put fuel in our cars
There's no market for exhaust fumes or poo
I dunno I feel to many people are looking at things wrong
Why wouldn't someone buy something just to enjoy it
If it was bought to be just enjoyed then I thinks it good buying
I feel truck will of been restored to a very high standard and is probably ready to go out and enjoy the world with
Guess I'm just a little weird

No Pual you are not Weid, and you have a good point, I see myself as an outsider looking in at this collector game, I have never brought anything as a collector, I am just really bad at selling stuff, everything that is in my so-called collection has been purchased to do a job or solve a problem or for everyday use, the ford Capri that I have had for 50 years was our everyday driver the same with the Kawa 9, the three ford tractors were brought to be able to come home from night shift in the mines and make hay without having to swap implements around, the truck was for moving stuff around in my work as an industrial Electrician, pump stations and site huts.
I have been a member of the local heritage club for 15+ years and have been president, sectary or some other position for all of that time, as it keeps the wheels turning on 8 old piles of junk that would otherwise rot in the shed and I don't see myself as a collector, but as I look around at members of our club and half a dozen cubs that I mix with almost everyone has a personal connection to their collection, it's dads or like dads/uncles/grandfathers there is always a connection, you may well mix in different circles to me but that my observation.
