 Hi  All
For those of you who have been following the “KOGZBILT” Commer Karrier rebuild, unfortunately because of ongoing health issues, and having no-one who seems willing to take up the project, I find that I will have to dispose of it in it’s entirity along with everything that goes with it and a shed full of tools.

It (they) are two post 1960 Karrier Bantam, 3 tonne trucks, one a bare rolling chassis, movable, the other has had an enormous amount of modifications done to it.
The chassis, as well as the cabin were sandblasted down  to bare metal, the chassis then painted with chassis black.
It has a Range Rover, Perkins designed, 2.5 litre turbocharged/intercooled engine driving into an NP435 Dodge 4 speed transmission with a Ford Bellhousing, driving into a heavily modified NP435 4 speed overdrive transmission.

I am going to ask for $9500 for everything I have here related to the project, including ALL spares and heavy tools as in engine crane, various welders, porta powers, small lathe , everything except a couple of small electric hand tools
Just some of the “EXTRA” that I seem to have aquired along the way, are a fully imported 440 Dodge NP445 all synchro, close ratio transmission along with the correct rebuilt PTO drive to suit,
Also an International 5 speed direct transmission in good nick, a 5 speed Range Rover transmission, unknown about it. Also 6x13” dual Karrier rims and half a dozen 7.50X16 wheels and tyres,
All the drums on the project vehicle had been machined out to take 16 inch Wheels

I know this may seem a lot of money, and you may well be thinking that I am aiming too high, maybe a couple of mates could get together and share?

Just as an idea, the machining put into the auxiliary transmission ALONE would have eventually cost me around the $5000 mark, that2s not taking into account anything else.

I am NOT interested in selling off bits and pieces, the lot has to go in its entirety, I have neither the time nor inclination to gin around with it. This is a genuine offer,I will get as full a complete stocktake as I can get shortly.

I live in the Central Goldfields area of Victoria, about 50 minutes north of Ballarat.
Just so you know, the project vehicle is drivable, but no brakes, the rolling chassis has no weight to it but can be dragged around easily.

Thanks,Dave_64

Dave

A few general photos might help. I have a possible but can not contact him for a few days.

If we can get a few photos (detail of every item not necessary) we can start to put it out for a new owner.

Should have added, cabin is full tilt lifts up with12v electric winch, lowers under own weight and then has lockdown setup which should be seen in photo.
Also there are tipper sides for the tray but wasn't finished;

Also has a new 3 tonne dual spring 60mm wide bogie spring setup, had ideas at one stage of making a lazy trailing axle out of it. Would fit, had done all the measurements.

How would I go about putting this in the "Monitor" ??
Thanks, Dave_64

Such a shame, Dave but you have to do what you have to do.

All the best.

I am prodding a possible at the moment.

He wants to know a conservative highway cruise. Have you done the revs/tyres/diff ratio calculation?
