Pretty impressive original design when a little spruce up makes it look very modern. Wonder what's going to tow it.

By the look of the photos the original prime mover has restoration commenced to tow it. Such a shame to go to all that work and not reap the rewards.

100% agree, but I guess we are all old enough to know that life rarely goes to plan

It is a really good start for someone wanting something a little different and a real head turner

Dunno if one of those 6BT Cummins motors would fit and a better rear end ratio would make it a useable machine to see the country in
So much more class than a modern 5th wheeler on a F truck or the like

Oh dear, in hindsight I must sadly agree with overnite and Paul. Motive force and, in particular, gearing.

There was one for sale a few years ago on the Murray Valley Highway in Torrumbarry. I wonder if it's the same one? I don't think I ever got a photo of it as it was there for years and I was always going to get the photo "next time we come past". It was in the vacant block beside the hall just west of the pub.

Having lived through a pandemic I now understand all the painting of fat people on couches!

Bigcam that was on here for many years used to often make a comment when people were telling stories of a mate of mate that did all these wonderful driving feats
"It just isn't possible to get that weight, that fast, with that amount of horse power"

And I will say that that isn't his exact words, not even close, Cam has far more tact than me

But words to that effect

MrsMack you know the old adage, “ the older I get, the better I was.”

Realistically though when we were young a lot of things that would seem imposable now were everyday stuff, when I first left school, I drove a timber jack in the bush for one of the logging mobs and some of the feats out in the bush with them old trucks and gear, seem like a fairytale even to me and I was there. Some of them old blokes achieved some mighty feats every day that would make the outback truckers look like a bunch of Nancy boys. I spent 2 years taking 260 "Sydney red Rattlers" out of Evely rail yard in Sydney all over Australia and there is 259 stories that you bokes won't believe, the only one you will believe is I took one to Nimbin and got that stoned and pissed it took 3 Days to get back on the Hiway. The one thing I have learned is getting out of you comfort zone is where you have the most fun and 90 percent of the time the people with their shirts done up properly won't believe you. Try this story for size ''I have been over most of Australia on a motor bike'' and I have but only about 5 percent of people you tell believe you the rest could not do it so don't believe you could. Just Saying.

I don't think there is many questioning about things moving slower
But grey ghosts doing well over 100 MPH and 6V53 GM in a Dodge rounding everything up with 50 ton on and the like

You wanna travel fast you needa lotta horse power, a lot more than most people think

Old E9 Macks pulling 6 decks cruising at 120kmh and the like are stretching it
