If it was fully restored and not just a cosmetic resto then it is essentially a new truck and could go back to work. If a new heavy duty prime mover is $500,000 then rebuilding an old one may be better for some.

Yes, I think your right after a bit of consideration, a new, new truck is no better than a new old truck, a lot of money can be made with a good old truck, if you can cut through the regulatory bull shit, a hell of a lot old 350's of all sorts, dragged two trailers to Darwin and 250 before that.
