26 Chev bakers van for sale.

Recently an old mate passed in tragic circumstances. He was working at restoring/preserving his 1926 Chev bakers' van. The chassis, brakes and wheels have been done and the engine has had a $7,000 + rebuild.
The body has been copied to what was originally fitted. It has new repo valance panels and all the rest of the bodywork is with it, along with the radiator and wheel rims.
Sadly, the family need to have it gone soon, so we are urgently looking for someone to take on the challenge of finishing it, as they have mentioned the Scrap word.

It is located in Moruya, on the NSW far South coast, just south of Batemans Bay. The asking price is a mere $5,000 in the hope of finding a home soon. If any info needed, call me on zero418 34991four.

The engine will be Over Head Valve ? 

Yes, It will be overhead valve.
Chevrolet never used a side valve.

Cobba, no shed space and not enough time left for another project, although I would love to have it. Most of the expensive work has been done. I personally have had the engine running, all but briefly due to no cooling. It would be a crime to see it go to scrap, but the family want to clear out the property so it can be leased out.
PS. It can come with tyres, tubes and rust bands which are currently on a registered local 26 ute. 

Just bumping this to the top. Surely out of you lot, you know someone who would want to save this from the scrappies.

I have been in contact with a mate who has a number of Chev and Federals form that era in regard to that truck, at 80 he just wants to finish what he started, he said the Chev club in Sydney would be the best place to start to find a buyer.

Thanks Louie, I'll give them a try. I know how it is for your mate; I've got too many projects and not enough time or readies to take it on myself.
