Just had a call from a friend of a friend who I have not met.  He has a 1950's Mercedes L325 that was lightly used and running then stripped down for restoration but stalled half way through several years ago. He is situated South East of Melbourne and interested in selling the project. He is not keen on talking to lots of people about it only those who may be genuine possible buyers. 0407 328 643

Some info on L325 Mercedes.

The Mercedes-Benz L325 was a medium-duty truck produced by Daimler-Benz in Germany between 1954 and 1957, with some units notably assembled in Australia during the 1950s.
Key details regarding the Mercedes L325 in an Australian context:
  • Australian Assembly: Due to local, post-war by-laws in 1952, an agreement was reached to assemble Mercedes-Benz trucks, including the L325, L3500, L315, and L331/332, at Merna Motors in Australia.
  • Production Era: These vehicles were assembled from Semi-Knocked Down (SKD) packs supplied by Mannheim and Gaggenau during the 1950s.
  • Technical Specifications: The L325 was a long-nose truck with a 3.25-tonne payload capacity, featuring the OM 325 diesel engine.
  • Configurations: It was available as a flatbed, dropside, tarpaulin-covered platform, or tipper (LK 325).
  • Collectability: Vintage catalogues for the L325 (1950s) are still traded in Australia as collectable items.
