I like your thinking Dave, however I have known the truck all my life and there have been no replacements, I doubt it the air in the tyres has been changed.

But the idea of Aussie or Pommie cabs might mean she was assembled using what ever doors were available.

I have seen the same window lift and lock on what looked like very similar doors but I cannot think on what truck, but not an O.

If Holden built the cab perhaps the doors are the same as the Inter K series they made too. :-X

Mark, I'm still leaning towards you having an English cab but that is just based on your slide-up (as opposed to wind-up) windows and push-out windscreen. Very basic assumption.

Another basic assumption and one that I've noted so is no where near official is that the Aussie cabs have a nice (crap gathering) "dent" at the base of the cab while the Pommy cabs just have straight metal all the way down. My '51 has a "Pommy" cab on it from a K but despite the tag on the cab, I still don't know how old it is.

Any ideas on the age of the O or have you told me already?

Hi Mark theres is one way we will know it's a "O" or not give us the eng and chassis numbers then we go from there.

I have thought running thru my mind i was thinking a long nose Austin which some times mistake for a Bedford and come with the motor in half in the cab and they also have push up windows and the more i think about it thats what we have here .

they came out at the same time as the "K-M-O" models. Dave

Dave, I've seen a pic. She's definitely a Beddy. I couldn't tell the length of the nose or see the side bonnet vents so I thought she was an M from the angle of the pic. Asked Mark but he confirmed she's an O.

it is very definitely an O, got all the ID plates etc

Stuffed if I know where it's gone Dave as the pic I've got for an article Mark wrote is not the one I'm thinking of. Mark works some funny shifts so we'll have to wait till he's back on.
