Stolen instruments! Reward offered!

Received the following terrible news at a recent HCVC meeting and will require all of us to keep an eye out for the stolen items:-

A Reward is offered for information leading to identifying the thieves and the recovery of the following items stolen from the Melbourne Tank Museum. Contact John Belfield on (03) 9796 8216.

1) 7 identifying name plates all carefully unscrewed from the 4" Twin Naval Gun ex HMAS Quadrant together with the 2 director dial casings built approx 1941
2) A No 19 Radio set taken from the Yeramba Self Propelled 25 PDR Mobile gun howitzer
3) 2 complete instrument panels from a Humber 1 ton truck.
4) 1 speedo & 1 rev counter 3.5" diameter & 5 other instruments, oil pressure gauge, ampmeter etc all 2" diameter - Kenworth Wrecker.
5) 1 speedo 3" diameter & 3 x 2" diameter instruments to suit AEC Matador.
6) 2 sets of instruments from 980 Model Diamond T Tank transporter 1942 consisting of 3 speedos & rev counter 3.5" diameter & 14 misc 2" diameter instruments.
7) 1 complete instrument panel from 1942 K5 International Truck.
Complete set of instruments & 7 name plates from US Motors searchlight generators 1942 consisting of 5 x 2" diamoter instruments & 2 x 4" diameter instruments.

All these items - 45 truck dash instruments and 14 name plates were stolen in the last few months from the storage yard of the Melbourne Tank Museum & will be difficult & sometime impossible to replace when restoration fo these vehicles is started.

I hope they catch the S.O.B., and brake there legs & arms, the sods

may the fleas of a thousand camels infest their armpits
