farmer re water in the sump 903 drain the oil an remove the filter then pressurise the cooling system if it seeps water out the sump plug its a liner packing or pinhole in the liner if water comes from the filter head its oil cooler i would bet a carton its liner packins an cummins have put parts prices thru the roof i patched one up a few years ago an 1 cyclinder kit cost a grand sorry for the bad news i have a s2 with a 903 and im if dreading the day it does the same if its the cooler don,t call me thats a bugger of a job in a s2

I'm fairly certain its a liner. It hydrauliced on start up one morning during harvest. I droped the oil and got about 2 litres of coolant before the oil came.I cranked her over centre by hand,replaced the oil and put 2 bottles of raddiator stop leak in it. Its done about 3000 Ks since and theres no coolant in the sump at the moment.

As much as the idea of doing her up and showing her appeals to me, I dont think I really have room in the stable for 4 trucks. I'm open to offers but am in no real hurry to sell her. I wont b offended if people tell me what they think shes worth. If shes still here by November I might take her down to Castlemaine.

If it's going, & no coolant in the sump. Your best two options are;

Trade it in,

Put it through the auctions,

That's if you really need to part with it.....

Hav had a rethink on the ol girl. Hydraulics wont swap on to the new banger. Maby I could get enough to buy some new ones. 5K should do it actualy better make it 6 I need a ball race 2 :

96 K100G bit of a step up ay I'm guna get a lend of an old dodge we use to own, line her up with the 2 kennys and a 1418 we still run and get a photo of em 4 me ol mans 70th. I'll post it when I get it all sorted

Farmer Brown, you might want to get the numbers off the PTO in the old truck, most of those Road Ranger PTO's interchange from different series, especially 9 series upwards, the 6 series ( which you won't have) has the same gear at the other end of the opening but it can easily be turned around. I'd guess the one you've got will bolt straight on.
