Hayseed, one must be very carefull where one obtains a crystal ball, you wouldn't want to end up with a dud after all?

Ah Hayseed , I think dad was able to get around 8 - 10 mpg empty and roughly 6 mpg loaded with 8 ton out of his 308 Holden powered Bedford - a much considerable improvement over the old 300 cubic inch Bedford and heaps more power also . The standard Bedford gearing - 5 speed and 2 speed diff just worked magic and would pull the top off several rice puddins ! For the job it was doing it was far more economical than comparative diesels . ;)

if you read the first post is states the gvm (6500) and tare (2930)
