Hmm, well she does look reasonably straight but you really can't see the problem areas. The B42 in general was not a truck that came here in large numbers. The majority of this shape of B (as opposed to the heavy B80s) were 61s and 43s - diesel engined trucks.

IIRC, the S refers to the bogie drive. However, the B42 was usually a petrol-engined model (being an even number). The third number usually relates to a certain specification such as 5 for V8 or 3 (I think) for optional engine. Not sure what the 1 means but I reckon she had a six cylinder petrol originally.

Just over 2,100 B421s were built so she is a rare one. If she's a 1954, she'll be one of the first ones. So, pretty straight and rare and much sought after as she's a B-model. I reckon $9,000 isn't too bad but that's because B-model prices seem pretty nuts these days.
