What sort of speed are you planning to run at. My Red Terror was running out of speed coming back from Broadford in Glenn's Funeral Convoy and it cruises at about 90 km.h, I was about to cut a hole in the floor to get some more accelerator travel.

Seriously a lot of the older trucks are running out of speed at around 75 - 80 km.h so if you are planning to run too much faster than that you risk having a group of people arriving in time to be moved on and that is no fun for anybody

I would have thought it would be a leisurely drive up the road..
We just cruised down from Sydney when we Hauled the Hume..
I guess the quickies could leave late and give it every thing its got till the border
Make sure you wear the oxy / acetylene goggles...you'll think its night time too!
Although if the screemers get out first it'll be black for hours anyway!

I know where to find a few blokes who reckon they could get to the border in an hour and a half.
