Mack had so many gear boxes i'd be here for a week scanning them. Aftre the quad and the 6 speeds there came the 7 speeds then the 10 speeds then the 12 speeds like the TRTXL 12 speed & the TRDL1070 ten speed ect all with over drive & direct............

Old Dog,

Thanks - I suspected this was the case... That's more than enough information for the moment. As I told the bloke, he really needs to get some numbers and good pics of the box before one could identify what he's got.

Cheers

Thanks for the info on the T2060.We are well into harvest now so getting plenty of use carting grain to the local Silo.I had never thought of using the Dynatard to drop engine revs quicker while changing up,but it works well better for me in the first switch position. :)

Make sure B 4 U switch Dynatard on
get the motor up 2 operating temp
then 1st application
B @ least continious 10 seconds (down a hill etc) to get the oil circulatin round the engine brake
then U can use it to kill the revs B tween cog shifts

The rockets we had at Transwest had 5 on one stick.
On the other stick, reverse, high and low.
Split low if you had to, as everyone else has said..
They were behind 237s.

There were a couple of air splits same as above, all on the knob.

Reckon there was some 320 coolpowers with 12 speed air splits too..

I might be wrong though, it was a while ago now....

chocs 8-)

So Vic, ya don't think 6 in reverse with the dynatard on was the go when backing up to the heap to tip off? ::)

Correct, 320 Cool Power's were available in 12 speed single stick air split... Every other gear change was quite fast like in a 13 speed after low range was completed.
