General Motors tried turbocharging 71 series diesels in 1957, but it must have given them some major grief, because I think they were only offered for about a year. Turbocharged automotive diesels weren't reintroduced until the 1970s. The early 4.71T was rated at 171 h.p. and the 6.71T was 236 h.p.

I have seen a 4/51 in a six wheel drive articulated American army vehicle at our Mount Barker field day, they called it a Gammy Goat.
Tutt Bryant, the agents had one at the Perth Royal Show ready to fit to a Chev truck, don't know if it was their idea or from G.M. David.

Will a 444 anchor a 21 foot launch? Or do I need two?

Probably better with a 653 the sand will gather up in the valley and hold it better...
But dont worry if she drifts a bit there will be another one down there to snag on.. :D

G'day

Being a new bloke to all things deisel and 2 strokes for that matter what maintainence items are there that I can do to prevent such drama???

Like just about every bloke that's bought a truck I can't really afford to learn the hard way!

My old mans been in the railways for over 35 years as an electricle engineer. I remember as I kid going to the sth dynon workshops and being in love with sound of the a/b class locos. I believe they have 110 series detroits in them. Funny how some 15-20 years later I've got my own Detroit 2stroke cause mainly I love the noise.

Speaking of which, what's the easiest way to post a video??

Cheers

If it is running all right now it shoukd be all right.
Don't get paranoid.
And don't run it low on fuel.
The fuel helps to keep the injectors cool.
Not 149's in the loco?

Is it only the 2-stroke diesels that get up and run away? :-?
