Hello there
If I remember rightly , someone bought these from Singapore at auction . When they arrived here KW put up a big stink , and the only way they could be resold here was to be re badged . As the truck would not be supported by KW .

I'm with Blueline & J.O.T.S. It's a T800..

I think you'll find that Kents at Cambletown/Ingleburn Imported a batch of them as Glider Kits.
Then converted/ assembled them & sold them as "AMTRUCK"s back in the late '90s...

But as always.. ISTBC...


I reckon Hayseed and Detective are both on the money here... Never heard the Singapore story before,I don't think Kenworth would exsist there as a highway truck. But I guess some-one will prove me wrong on that... Cheers James.
ps. Clarky I'm not having a shot at you at all,but a T800 is a very common model in USA and the cabs are completely different to our T480 models. Cheers again James.

I heard long time ago that they were imported from mexico and sold to collies because of their light tare weight . :-/

that makes a lot of sense to me scummy I couldn't imagine KW would have a leg to stand on if they were imported from singapore but once again I am proberly wrong
