Nope, no dope. Only late night thoughts.
Both Duel and Cannonball Run names sound familiar from the dim dark past.

Maybe there were two tankers duelling or was it one tanker and a Chev. Camaro?

I'm glad I now have other things to do and don't have to watch that stuff any more.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Yes Swishy. I loved that show when I was 12 years old. Just Morris mentioned Cannonball Run so I put it up as one of the classics with Duel and Convoy.

There was this Mack and a F model Mack off a movie called "Moon Fire"
Apparently has quite the cult following in the US, I dunno why apart from a cool old truck the movie is crap

Unfortunately they have no interest to me. I like OLD trucks. It would be nice to have the amount of money needed to make these "Show Pieces." They are probably of more interest to spray painters or sellers of shiny bits.

I have to agree with Morris.. This level of "show and shine" has NO practicability in everyday use..
