IH C1200 truck - can anyone give any info? was created by ZCMH
Hey everyone -
We have recently bought a IH C1200 truck (please see photos) can anyone give us a bit more information about the truck? It says on the plates that it was manufactured in 1970 but when google-ing the above details we can't seem to find anything that remotely resembles what we have?
Any help would be appreciated!

Your truck's a beauty. Most of the info you need should be on a plate riveted to the back edge of the left door.
The C-line was produced from about '66 to '72.
It should have 282 cube 6 cyl (6-281), may be 3, but probably four speed (T-17 New Process) and probably Dana 60 rear end, 4.10 ratio. It appears to be the long wheelbase (126").
All this should be on the plate.
Check under the dash for rust around the vents. if it's good there, you got a gem. The wheels are made of unobtainium.
This is just a bit of general stuff. Any particular things you wanted to know?
Cheers, ASW (Jarrod)

Thank you for the replies.
asw120 - You have been quite helpful! Would you happen to know if this truck's parts could be easy to find? We have only started taking bits and pieces out and tidying it up and it would be handy to know of any places that are good for getting spare parts. Also, are many of these out there? Because we couldn't find much out there on the internet we though that random badging may have been put on it!
v8 inter nut - Your mates truck looks great! we were looking for a similar look with ours too, minus the Jack Daniels haha

G'day
when i bought my D1210 I asked for spec's and had some really helpful replies, put the link for that info
www.hcvc.com.au/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1357868569/3#3
not sure how many 1200 are around,
Parts
from flee bay brake parts wheel cylinders springs can pick wheel cylinder 35 USD a pair, linings or shoes come up at times (proper asbestos ones)
i have been told fleet parts here have inter & dodge stuff (have not bought anything of them yet)
Wagga tractor parts has parts and are really helpful shackle pins bushes etc
Nearly everything is available,
seals are cheaper from the US
Any questions just ask, i hve done a lot of work on mine, and found cheaper parts after...
Its a great size of ute, mine is in use ever second day,
