Well, Mr. Google has not been very helpful at all, akin to pulling teeth......

I have found two photos of 1941 Desoto utes and some information on the G503 military enthusiasts website.
Apparently the Desoto, like the Dodge version is a stylised version of the base Plymouth utility.
They were for military use and were supposedly commonly used by American military serviceman stationed in Australia during WWII.
I'm guessing that a Desoto version may have been an officers' vehicle, given it's upmarket position in the states?

Both of these examples have a flip up windscreen and roof hatch.

Would love to find a picture of the interior of the Desoto ute.......

If you spend some time searching through all these links, then there must be something that tickles your fancy.

Lot's of printed matter about these vehicles, just follow all the links and you'll soon see what's available and where to buy these items.

Cosmetic parts, possibly, but they did sell plenty of new cars in the USA in 1941 as they joined the war a bit later. Stuff can be found over there.
Mechanical parts should be common to any contemporary Chrysler product, or at least interchangeable to some extent.

I've seen worse fixed. :)
