I have put these pics up before that I took some years ago
at Streaky Bay SA....Not knowing anything about this buggy.............










Now the reason why I have done this is ........................
the other day I was reading the November issue of OWNER DRIVER
about the Alice Springs reunion when I saw this pic......................

Is this the same vehicle...............???????????
Or has it been modified..............????????????
Or is it another one.....................???????????
If it is another one ,,was it made by the same bloke........??????




They certainly are a credit to the builders...............

They both have the same number plate Billy...
So My monies being on them being the one & the same vehicle..

Spot the difference..... Bullbar, wheel arch flares, battery box/side step, under tray toolbox, exhaust shroud, wiper arms, air filter drum and aerial.

The more you look at it....the more different it appears.
At the time, I thought it could have been on a Landcruiser chassis.
In that last pic it just seems a whole lot larger than in my pics.
But......it looks to have came out of the same "MOULD" sort of..

Recently, my brother inlaw & wife went to a 100Th birthday party.
The lady concerned had lived on a sheep station in the Menindee area (nsw).
Scattered around the tables (among other things), were copies of pics from
times in the area.
This one I thought , may have been a Super Hippo,.....but that may have been a
bit of over kill for the job at hand.......looks like a bogie drive on singles.
Is that a crank handle up front ???????????
