I have just spotted on the grape vine that it has been sold to a bloke at Hervey Bay who is going to restore the old girl...……….

Dumb Butt Yankee question:: What type of weird service would require a 4 speed Joey box behind a 15 speed???

No more dumber than us Brocky
If U B tow n sum series weight n U gear a truck to suit a 15 speed
U either run out of bottom gears n cant get lift off
or run out of top speed n can't get out of the way of others
guess n they run a OD joey to get xtra top & bottom ........... n cruise

15 speed was a later fit to replace the original spicier front box

Thanks $wishy...……..Yer know what I like about this old girl. Well, even though it is donkeys years old,
and has been outside for most of it life, and certainly looks a tad daggy, the cab is covered in dust and spider
webs, but every thing looks intact. ie. All the gauges and switches look intact . Most old trucks have holes in
the dash with broken switches and wiring all over the place .etc
But this truck , as daggy as it looks, basically, might just need water , oil and tyres checked and then put to work.
Barring a major outage, I think the new owner should be quite happy to restore the old girl...……….
Maybe a grease wouldn't go astray...…….
