They look good in the car park but with buggerall belly clearance hardly suited to the job of house moving.

No sign of trucks, nor house the next day, so presumably got the job done.

Lang, What interesting features does it have? Is that a winch behind the cab? Does that plate cross-wise at the tail make a ramp to a tippimg tray"

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

From memory Lang this is similar to a b ody style you would have been looking for as it has easy access with the door that low.
Appears to be a good vehicle with those specs and well priced.

air filter behind the cab??. As the chassis is very low the body configuration is bound to be unusual.

I just found his ad on Marketplace with a couple more photos. I would certainly have been interested prior to the Mack purchase. Second row of seats area would have made a good sleeper and with 300hp and auto she would be a nice long distance toy carrier. I thought the 6BT Cummins was only 230 hp (which is still heaps for the job) but apparently it has the post-1998 ISB version at 300hp?

Would be reluctant to take it on dirt roads for fear of screen damage.

I believe that there are lots of different ratings for basically the same motor

Emergency vehicles and military vehicles quite often have a much higher hp rating than any civilian vehicle of the same make and basic model

I believe the thinking is that it is more important to get the job done once than have it last a million km's
