They've changed Fleet Colours Billy. They used to be a Turquiose(ish) sort of Blue..

Roger Evans photo . Peter Murada had 4 of these KW's working around Wollongong and Sydney. The family company MTI (Metal Transport Industries ) ended up with these trucks and one had the second steer axle removed and made into a prime mover. Transwest Pt Kembla had one with a roll on scrap bin body.

First photo from Rick Russell. 2nd photo NMP. The first of those SCE KW eight wheelers had the small L10 Cummins engine and worked around the Pt Kembla Steelworks.

You've got good eyesight.
I messaged one of SCE's driver's and he remembers one was sold about 4 years ago which was fitted with a Dino Hooklift and worked around the steelworks.

Just Adding to BillyP's collection..... My oldest brother runs his own road train out of Perth, currently running North South, this jigger popped up somewhere up north, then Brother parked alongside it in the Perth Yard. It is doing similar work to him.



last trip with a number of trucks to some remote location, wrong road, all turn around, Brothers Volvo turns easily, all the long bonnet stuff, 20 point turns....
