I took Lorry for a run around the block so to speak to keep everything moving and working. Went to visit the local 4th hand dealer up at Moorland and found these curiosities.

But wait, there's more at Moorland. I do like the Chrysler Ambulance. Would make a good Ghost Busters look alike especially with a remake movie about to be released. Not sure what the bottom one is but is the best pic I could get.

Just thinking, approx when did KW start using the wider "tropical" radiator and wider bonnet?
I recall some of the first 12V71's and KT engined having the wider version, or were they only available on the high H.P. Jobs?

Imported Kenworths were available with the tropical radiator from the mid 60's
Govt departments buyin KW often had the tropical radiator
IDSTBC
Mines dept ......... Forestry Commision ........... State Rivers & Water Supply Commission
n heresa pic of the Melbourne Metropolitan Board of Works Kenworth bring up the rear with the big wide tropical radiator
With a 16ton groove roller with smoken brakes with out engine brake on way to the upper thompson dam
Our 'S' model KW with a C@ D8 32ton all under control useing the jakes = cool brakes

Sometimes Swishy it can be the driver that causes things like that to go wrong, not the equipment. Be a good topic = Drivers V Drovers
