This Inter is a bit of a puzzle. Looks like they are using it as a bridge for the sheep. They look like they have been recently shorn so the first thought of keeping them dry for shearing does not seem correct. Cockies, any ideas?

Lang,

Could the water be too deep for them to cross safely?

Not a Cocky, but raised in the bush.

It is only 30 feet wide and the truck looks like it is only up to its axles. Surely sheep could get across that? Maybe it is hard to push them into the water?

I’m with you, I thought at first they were crossing the creek but there on the same side, I’d go with you Lang , they didn’t want them getting wet or muddy

Sheep are funny, have had them baulk at a gateway with a puddle. You really had to force the first few through. Doubt you would have had much luck driving them through that bit of water

I think they are trying to keep the wool clean and not get it contaminated by silt which would devalue it let alone be very hard to shear.I have heard of wool growers cutting fences to move sheep as there was too much bare dirt and dust at the gateway

I thought perhaps they were keen to keep their freshly shorn sheep dry so they weren't wet and cold all night and get a chill and die. Big enough shock having 12 months wool removed, let alone getting wet too.
