Hi Lisa,
That's all the info I have to hand. I'm one of a number of folk on the forum who are interested in the older Kenworths and have copies of various lists of chassis numbers and specs that were floating around in the past.
I did work in Engineering at KW Bayswater for 3 years in the mid 70's then drove them on interstate for another 3 years so that pretty much defines the period I'm interested in.

Gidday Lisa,
Every time I saw it parked opposite the Caltex always drooled over her. Always thought it was an ex Percy's Plant carter from North Bris way (Strathpine/Petrie?). They had a few of these single drive jobs running in the 80's and early 90's. Good to see her looked after. In my view the best looking model from the KW stable ever.

G'day Gents,
ADVICE NEEDED:
As I've mentioned before, we were thinking of giving our
Big Babe a heart transplant.
Now, hubby's not sure which way to go with all this:
Do we : Go for a 903?
OR one of the GM's 8v71, 8v92?
Hubby has no experience with the 2 strokes,
So can we please hear all your thoughts
At the moment she has a L10 cummins in her.
So going back to a 2 stroke will obviously mean there
will be some substantial changes required.
Thanks Guys
Lisa

Hi Lisa n Jim
U probably get much wiser advice from more knowledgeable ppl than me
easiest way is to stik to the same setup
if U go for biggr HP it could mean an engineers slip to B OK
if U update find someone close by with a good name to fall backon
Cat motors are good but U need a good bank manager for any repairs
GM Detroit Screemers are generally cheaper to do up than most others
2 get the most/best out of a screemer U need to drive m az tho u stole it
years ago all good cnr shops had the parts
Crummins iz an unknown quality but the boat ppl luv m

All boils down to wot intentions 2 do wiff beast

Hi Gents,
Thanks for your opinions
& Phil, I reckon we'll take you up on your offer,
I'll email you soon to work out a day & time, very much
appreciated.
As for the more HP L10, the other half wants to change to a two stroke for two reasons, mainly to keep the truck as close as possible to the 70's era & secondly there is nothing quite like the sound ..............
Ohh hang on guys, his back on you tube again
watching swishy's clip of "snappn gears with an 8V-92T" with the volume up high
Cheers,
Lisa
