When I took BOngo the Hiace van in for his 10,000klm service the woman behind the counter gave me the run down on condition of certain parts, tyres - ok, towbar checked for torque of the mounting bolts and then she mentioned brakes. She said they have measured the pads and that they have hardly any wear on them. She then went on to tell me that she would hav worn them out by now going by the way she drove her own car.
My reply was in 2 parts, Firstly I glad you dont test drive my car and secondly they put steering wheels in cars now so very little use for brakes. Truth is I do mostly highway driving and very little around the suburbs so I hope the brakes dont wear out by not using the brake pedal.
