I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

I don't blame Mr. Buncombe from bunking off.
And it happened in Somerset, Ee Baa Goom.

When I was apprentice, I was reprimanded every time I mentioned steam roller. I was told in no uncertain terms that they are diesel rollers, and that steam was outdated. That was in the mid 60s.

No doubt Agnes was relieved that the cunningly designed crumpling front panels on her noble steed took the impact without fuss. You will notice that despite the lack of seat belts Agnes and the kids are all well, and probably somewhat confused why old Wendell Buncombe had run off?
Meanwhile Ned Arkwright, who lives nearby, came to sticky beak and was heard to mumble, "Bloudy 'ell, they nay build 'em as twas used to be!"

I'd rather have tools that I don't need, than not have the tools I do need.
