McAleese Transport was created by dieseldog
I heard on the rumour mill today that McAleese Transport has gone belly up. They also have their fingers in a lot of pies, with Cootes and Walter Wright Cranes coming to mind. Has anyone else heard anything?

Contractors push for Atlas Iron to return to full production

McAleese plans to start providing trucking services to Atlas Iron's Abydos and Wodgina this month.

Atlas Iron's contractors are pushing to reopen the company's third and most expensive mine, buoyed by their success in keeping the struggling iron ore producer in operation.
Mount Webber is the Pilbara miner's newest mining hub and its future is critical to some of the company's contractors who are fiercely advocating for it to recommence operations.
The mine was opened in July and is about 230 kilometres from Port Hedland port. The considerable distance the mine's ore needs to be trucked, nearly double that of the company's Wodgina or Abydos mines, makes it an expensive operation, with haulage costs estimated to be about 10

A friend drives for them (North WA) and whilst he is still driving others are being paid to sit at home & not fly back to site.
Their (driver's) biggest concern is if they will receive their entitlements/payouts if it does all go to the wall.
