Old Pommy lories/Leyland Buffalo was created by Thunder Down Under
I didn't want to barge in on the threads mentioned above.
When I was eleven/twelve, I watched a film at a Dr Barnardos home entitled "Cattlemen". It was shot in Australia and featured a Leyland pulling, if I remember correctly, two trailers. The story was of a 'newchum' from the UK being taught to drive what then was a 'big banger'. All in black and white.
Has anybody else seen or know of this film?
Have tried serching the WWW for it but without success so far.

Steve Jones from NZ went to a lot of trouble to locate a copy of that short movie, he eventually got one, I think from the UK in VHF. I have the VHF version at home, but nothing to play it on.
Typical of the time it is corny now, but good history.

It was on Youtube but was taken down due to some copyright infringement. I managed to do a couple of screen shots, here's one from the main Buff thread:
and I believe it may still be in existence, the below was taken by Andy Wright who used to post here at the Rick Thege collection in Ballarat (also on the Buff thread):
No idea who built the cab but it is 100% not factory - there was never a sleeper cab offered by Leyland.

The film swaps around a super hippo and the Buffalo. I managed to get a pirate dvd but not telling. Corny but great for nostalga of a time when pommy trucks were making tracks for the yankee ones to follow on.

National film library have a copy of BP film The Cattle Carters last I saw it was not for sale as a copy unless one of your relatives is in it. You can borrow it for a private viewing in your state library, which I did at least 5 years ago. Had been searching a while for it back then, was a memory of seeing it at school as a 11-12 yr old too
