Having lived through a pandemic I now understand all the painting of fat people on couches!

One of Richter Drilling's winch trucks in the Philippines mid 1980's. This one was fitted up with two 50 ton Braden winches with a common drive. Having both winch cables the same length was critical.
It might look ugly but it could lift heavy things. A good operator was a must.

Was that Flintsone winch truck a 'special' build, maybe an R700 ??
Just looking at the , (what seems to me) front axle set back and maybe a bit longer in the bonnet,
OR am I looking at the world with my normal distorted view?

I am pretty sure they were R800. Gary Richards has all the information on the Richter winch trucks. I am sure Century Drilling inherited them when they bought out Richter Drilling.

To me it Looks like a DM800 judging by the Offset cab. We had loads of them in Israel back in the day, mostly assembled by Mack Ashdod. Pic by Ron Shushan.

Tatra,
that's a clearer picture, front on.Gives a better idea.
Love the dude with the bell bottoms and floral shirt/aviator shades. Sort of dates the snap, doesn't it?
