That almost looks like it is operating in Europe with the sign on the cab roof and dog trailer, even the style of the tray and the way it's tarped looks European

Agree. The name 'Haukes' and on front of tarp 'Internationale Transporten' all points towards Europe, possibly Germany?

Just looking at that Frog Mack, looks a bit like something cobbled together in someones back yard!
Narrow R model glass bonnet, but wide cab looks like one of those mongrelised cab over Euro jiggers?
Maybe a 'Renack' or 'Mackault'??
Ugly looking whatever model she be!

Cupla Maynes circa early '80's. 350 X 10 speed on Syd-Bris express in the old Burrows Rd depot.
Had a few issues with these particular ones, had bad habit of chewing the lobes off the camshafts, all 6 of them went back to have them changed out.
These particular two used to run opposite each other, one pulled like a proverbial train, other a real dog! Consecutive build No's.
Problem sorted by time new 4-valve engines purchased. Maynes were turning them over every two years or so at the time.
