    Grandad that last one is a French Latil gun tractor.

    I think the French had that scuttle bonnet (hood) and rear radiator design long before Mack, International and other makes

    For example here is a De Dion which had this feature on its cars and trucks from 1901 to the 20's

    1903 Model

     

    Anf of course Renault, this one as late as 1930.

     

    If you go right to the end 16 minute mark you will see a very clear episode of a solid tyre Mack with a pusher axle.

    The de Dion tube was named after Comte  Jules-Albert de Dion , founder of  French   automobile manufacturer   De Dion-Bouton .
