Thank you roKWiz those photos comfirmed my thoughts those shots of the 1957 model show that design came well before the 1963 cab over Pete. So my old departed mate was right Peterbuilt copied Kenworth

but Swishy, article on Freightliner says 1941 was their first COE, Kenworth was 1937 and first diesel powered truck below.
